TRAINING
- - - - - - -
welcome to the official training guide! this guide is going to layout the specifics of training on this forum. not sure what exactly "training" is? well, this is where you're going to find it all out. training is definitely a fun and good way to make your character stronger.
click here for an example of training
WHAT IS TRAINING?
training is the most effective way to make your character stronger. if you haven't noticed yet, in your mini-profile (the information below your avatar), there is an option called XP: ###, with a number next to it. the xp stands for experience points. these experience points are increased by five with every post you make. but don't go post crazy! training gives you another way to increase your experience.
WHAT ARE EXPERIENCE POINTS FOR?
you can use experience points to exchange for different things at the XP XChange thread. the more experience you have, the stronger your character ultimately will become.
OKAY. SO HOW DO I START?
if you want to create a training thread, then you may create a thread in any roleplaying board (as long as your character has the means to get there and a reason for being there if it's outside of their own land). you may title your thread anything you want to, but make sure to including at the end of the subject title [T][#][?]. T stands for training, while # stands for number of people training. you may train by yourself [1], or with up two three partners, [4]. the ? mark stands for a third attribute, which will be discussed later in this guide.
SO, HOW DO I DO IT?
if you are training by yourself, then it's simple. after the first post of the thread, you must wait for a staff member to come by to give you experience points based on the quality of your post. the same goes for multiple posters, however, instead, a staff member will wait for all members of the training session to post. for example, if four ninja are training, then you must wait for all four ninja to post. the benefit to this method is more experience points per post. however, the downfall is obviously, if the member doesn't post. a staff member will come by after the four posts and then list out the experience points gained by each member based on the quality of the post.
the benefit to this is that if you exceed, being at a certain ninja level, a certain number of posts, then you will not achieve the maximum experience points per training session (which is 50). to know how many posts you can make before you run out of stamina (and ultimately, you must stop training), simply multiply your stamina points (the stamina number in your data chart in your application), by 2. if you have a stamina of 5, and as such, can train in 10 posts, that does not mean that you must train in all 10 posts. you may finish earlier, if you wish.
at the very top of your thread, include this simple code:0/50
when you start your training, you start at 0 experience points. when a staff member comes by and gives you experience, say, for example, + 11 points, then in your second post, the 0 would change to 11, and so on.
WHAT KIND OF TRAINING IS THERE?
remember the [?] earlier? this is where the ? comes in. there are different kinds of training. here's a short list of them:
[T] - Basic Training
[J] - Jutsu Training
[C] - Chakra Training
[D] - Data Training
WHAT IS [T] BASIC TRAINING?
basic training is what a ninja will do when they just wish to train, basically. for example, if you see something in the XP XChange that you want, and you are trying to build up experience, then you would use basic training to increase your experience only. for basic training, you may only create one new thread once every week.
WHAT IS [J] JUTSU TRAINING?
jutsu training is used when your character is trying to learn a new jutsu. there are two ways of learning a new jutsu. the first is to shop in the XP XChange. the second is to train until you have enough points to learn the jutsu. which one you decide on is completely dependent on you. neither one takes longer than the other. as said earlier, the maximum amount of experience you can earn in one training session is 50 points. the following is a list of different ranked-jutsus and the amount of experience points required for them.
E-Rank: 50 xp
D-Rank: 100 xp
C-Rank: 150 xp
B-Rank: 200 xp
A-Rank: 300 xp
S-Rank: 500 xp
as you can see, learning jutsu may take several threads. if you are learning jutsu, then, using the previous code, change the 50 to the total amount of experience required for the rank jutsu you are trying to learn. you are still only allowed to gain up to 50 experience points per session, however. after you have learned your new jutsu, you must wait four weeks before learning a new jutsu.
WHAT IS [C] CHAKRA TRAINING?
chakra training is training to increase your total chakra limit. your chakra limit is based on the chakra points system. increasing your chakra limit is very difficult and tedious, but worthwhile if it means you can perform even just one more jutsu during a battle. below is a list of the amount of experience required to increase your chakra limit by a certain number of points, ordered by your ninja rank:
ACADEMY STUDENT+1 , 50 xp
+5, 200 xp
+ 10, 450 xp
GENIN+1, 40 xp
+5, 150 xp
+10, 400 xp
+15, 600 xp
CHUNIN+1, 30 xp
+5, 120 xp
+10, 350 xp
+15, 500 xp
+20, 700 xp
JONIN+1, 20 xp
+5, 100 xp
+10, 300 xp
+15, 400 xp
+20, 600 xp
+25, 800 xp
S-RANK+1, 10 xp
+5, 50 xp
+10, 200 xp
+15, 300 xp
+20, 500 xp
+25, 700 xp
+30, 1000 xp
KAGE+1, 5 xp
+5, 25 xp
+10, 100 xp
+15, 200 xp
+20, 400 xp
+25, 600 xp
+30, 900 xp
+35, 1500 xp
your character is allowed to +1 train once a day, five times a week (taking one week off every two weeks). otherwise, in one ninja rank, you are only able to train your maximum points (the bolded number), once every six weeks. training this way is similar to the other training methods. use this code at the top each post.+0/#
the 0 indicates that no chakra points have been gained yet. the # symbol will represent your chakra limit goal, whether it be 1, 5, 20, 35, or even 100.
WHAT IS [D] DATA TRAINING?
data training is training different parts of your data. remember those data charts from your application? those. this is the most difficult training of all the trainings, as it takes the longest and most experience, and cannot be bought through the XP XChange program. the following is a table showing the training requirements.

sound like a lot of experience? it sure is! however, it gets even worse... we don't want anybody to reach the maximum of 40 points total for the data, as nobody can reach that rank, because nobody is perfect. as such, we will now explain how many times you can train based on your ninja rank. note that the maximum experience per training session is now increased by multiplying your stamina data number by three.
ACADEMY STUDENT - an academy student is able to train each of the above categories a maximum of +.5 per category, and a +1 for one of the above categories (not in addition to the +.5). after gaining the maximum xp in the training session, you must wait at least 24 hours before continuing the training for one of the above categories before reaching the xp goal. after gaining either the +1 or the +.5, you must wait one week before training another data category. you may only train each category once. (until next ninja level)[/blockquote]
GENIN - a genin is able to train each of the above categories a maximum of +1 only once per category and +1.5 for one of the above categories (not in addition to the +1). after gaining the maximum xp in the training session, you must wait at least 24 hours before continuing the training for one of the above categories before reaching the xp goal. after gaining either the +1 or the +1.5, you must wait one week before training another data category. you may only train each category once. (until next ninja level)
CHUNIN - a chunin is able to train each of the above categories a maximum of +1.5 only once per category and 2 for one of the above categories (not in addition to the +1.5). after gaining the maximum xp in the training session, you must wait at least 24 hours before continuing the training for one of the above categories before reaching the xp goal. after gaining either the +1.5 or the +2, you must wait one week before training another data category. you may only train each category once. (until next ninja level)
JONIN - a jonin is able to train each of the above categories a maximum of +.5 per category, and a +1.5 for two of the above categories (not in addition to the +.5). after gaining the maximum xp in the training session, you must wait at least 24 hours before continuing the training for one of the above categories before reaching the xp goal. after gaining either the +.5 or the +1.5, you must wait one week before training another data category. you may only train each category once. (until next ninja level)
S-RANK - an s-rank ninja is able to train each of the above categories a maximum of +.5 per category, and a +1.5 for two of the above categories (not in addition to the +.5). after gaining the maximum xp in the training session, you must wait at least 24 hours before continuing the training for one of the above categories before reaching the xp goal. after gaining either the +1.5 or the +.5, you must wait one week before training another data category. you may only train each category once.
KAGE - a kage ninja is able to train each of the above categories a maximum of +.5 per category, and a +1.5 for three of the above categories (not in addition to the +.5). after gaining the maximum xp in the training session, you must wait at least 24 hours before continuing the training for one of the above categories before reaching the xp goal. after gaining either the +1.5 or the +.5, you must wait one week before training another data category. you may only train each category once.
THE FINAL POINTS
a staff member has the right to deny anybody the right to training and gaining the required points. the reason is that we do not want any ninja to become too strong, learn too many jutsu, or just become too perfect as a ninja. as a result, we have created a page in which you can make a request to train if you feel unsure about whether or not you will be getting all of the proper points as said in this thread. if we approve your request, then you can train worry-free that we will come in and decline the training process after you have already put a lot of effort and work into creating the posts. if you do not like any of the above numbers, then feel free to PM a staff member for any special requests for your character and make sure to explain why we should make the exception for you.
in addition, we recommend keeping track of your training posts, especially if it's a continuous training for something that requires more experience. this way, when you go in to trade your XP for the reward, we can check the threads to make sure you actually deserve the reward.
WHOA... WELL, IS THAT IT?
it sure is! most of these training things can actually be acquired at the XP XChange, aside from the data training. however, it's far more fun to train then just buy your way into it, so training is an excellent way to practice your roleplaying with your character, and get the feel for your character's fighting style. staff members promise to get to your thread as quickly as possible. as such, to guarantee that your thread will not go unnoticed, you are free to reply to this thread with a link to your training thread. your post will be deleted, but there will be a copy of your training thread for the staff in the staff room so we know to keep an eye out on it. nonetheless, we hope you all have a wonderful time training!
